How I got here
Completely lost
I was bouncing between jobs in central London, never finding anything I loved or was really good at. I was earning $1,500 to $2,400 a month, which doesn't go far in London, and living for the weekend.
I was doing what I thought was expected of me: work hard for 40 years, get the promotions, retire with a pension. I'd watch Dragons' Den thinking the only way out was inventing the next million-pound idea.

Honey from China
Amazon was taking off, so I flew to China to source products to sell. Not electronics. Not clothes. Honey.
It turns out selling on Amazon costs a fortune unless you pour money into ads, and the margins were 5 to 10%. I lost money, jacked it in and went back to London.

A taxi app before Uber
I moved to Romania with no job lined up and spotted a gap: the only option was hailing a yellow cab off the street. So I hired Romanian developers to build a booking app, leased 100 Skoda Octavias and launched the service at the British Embassy, with the British Ambassador alongside me. The most nerve-wracking day of my life.
But I'd just swapped a boss for investors and an office I still had to sit in every day. Three years later I sold my shares and moved back into my childhood bedroom.

The job I hated
Back to commuting into central London in my little Ford Fiesta, daydreaming out of the office window and asking my boss for 10 of my 25 days' holiday, when what I really wanted was six months.
In 2019 I got fired for missing my targets. I hit rock bottom, $40,000 in debt and with no idea how I'd explain it at my next interview.

Starting from zero
Getting fired turned out to be the best thing that ever happened to me. I started building online with nothing: no audience, no product, no experience.
Twelve days later I made my first commission, promoting a high-ticket product as an affiliate. That's when everything changed.
